Well, THIS is a first... the DDV's CFP is now open for DefCon 26! Submission deadline is June 1st. More here:
DC26 T-shirts!
Last year, we introduced DDV t-shirts for those volunteering with the village. They were well loved and helped promote a positive sense of community within the village.
For 2018, to help expand that sense of community, we'd like to make those t-shirts available to anyone using the village - but still remain free of charge. To that end, we're looking to raise just over $3000 through GoFundMe to make t-shirts for everyone dropping off their drives this year.
If you're one of those visiting the DDV or if you know someone who does, please help fund us with the link below. Help us make our goal so we can provide a t-shirt for everyone when they drop off their drive.
Gearing up for DDV at DefCon 26!
Preparing the DATA DUPLICATION VILLAGE for DEF CON 26!
DefCon 26 dropped their call for everything so it's time to kick off the planning for DDV@dc26. 2017 was a tremendous milestone with more data replicated than any prior year. We also compiled an analysis of the drives we received and their failures (see DefCon 25 Breifing for more).
This year, we're hoping to expand the village to include an area for talks and an open discussion hangout on Drive duplication, forensics, backups, data recovery, and other related topics.
Also, we've updated our Twitter Handle to just @DDV_DC so don't freak out if it looks a bit different.
